For a North Indian family on holiday in Gangtok looking for vegetarian north Indian food, this one is a sure bet. This small fast food joint in the middle of M. G. Marg has something for everyone. Let's start with breakfast. They are open in the morning before any tourist reaches M. G. Marg, and all the breakfast favourites like aloo paratha (served with aloo curry), poori bhaji, poori chhole, and poori aloo dum (Rs. 35-50) are ready. Hot and fresh, spicy and oily. Isn't that what we want? A taste of these all time favourites at Aggarwal's is sure to remind you of olden days. To finish your breakfast properly, they have sweet Lassi (Rs. 45) or standard tea/coffee (Rs. 10/25). The menu also has South Indian favourites like Dosa, Uttapam, Idly, Vada (Rs. 35-75), and the Indo-Chinese favourites like noodles & fried rice, local flavour - momos, North Indian snacks, Chat items, fruit juices, ice creams and what not, all at very reasonable prices (see menu picture below). Aggarwal's have another (bigger) joint opposite Old Private Taxi Stand. So, let's eat.
