MBK Shopping Mall in Bangkok next to National Stadium BTS Station has two options for vegetarian food, one - a Thai-Chinese restaurant called Nova Kitchen on the 1st floor and two - an international Food Court on the 5th Floor called "The Fifth Food Avenue". Let me write about the food court first. There is plenty of vegetarian food in this food court. There are vegetarian noodles, veggie pizza and other Italian food like vegetarian Quesadilla, and a lot of choice in vegetarian Indian food. To top it all, one can indulge in a healthy Detox Vegetable & Fruit Juice or other juices and smoothies. The International Food Court is a cool, clean, and pleasant experience in sharp contrast with the crowded, hot, and smelly Food Center on the 4th Floor. At the entry to the International Food Court, one is given a plastic card that can be used to buy food at any of the 18 food stalls. Each card has a maximum spending limit of 1000 THB. Payment has to be made at the exit while leaving. A lost card means the user has to pay 1000 THB regardless of how much they have spent inside. 5% service charge is added to the menu prices. The Food Court is open everyday from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. Read more and see pictures below...

Nova Kitchen Vegetarian Food

Nova Kitchen Thai & Chinese Cuisine is on the 1st floor of MBK, right next to 'Tops Market'. Nova is not pure vegetarian but has a good selection of vegetarian food. Their menu has a few separate pages for the vegetarian food and the prices of veg food are very reasonable. For example, Vegetarian dumpling and vegetarian Chinese rolls cost just 50 and 60 THB respectively. Meals start at 80 THB for Thai Style Vegetarian Green Curry Fried Rice. Many of the veggie meals on the menu contain fake meats / sea food made from soy but do have some fresh vegetables too. An item with just vegetables and no fake meat is Stir Fried Mixed Vegetables at 100 THB. Some of the more expensive stuff in the veggie menu was looked really good like the 'Stir Fried Asparagus with Gingko Nuts & Herbal Berries' and 'Broccoli With Mixed Mushroom', both at 180 THB each. There are a total of 34 items in the veggie menu with the expensive food costing around 200 THB.

I would rather eat something without any fake meats in it but ended up ordering Hong Kong Style Fried Noodles. It was good though and cost just 80 THB. This vegetarian food is way more affordable than Indian vegetarian food. Nova Kitchen's menu says a 10% service charge would be added to the bill but they did not charge me extra. Don't know if they are serious about the service charge. Whatever that be, Nova Kitchen is a nice option for vegetarians in MBK Mall.
