Adventure Activities at Macau Tower, Timings and Prices

Thursday, March 13, 2014

Macau Tower is famous for its "World's Highest Commercial Bungy Jump". But that is not all that this exciting attraction has to offer family tourists and young people in Macau. There are other activities like Tower Climb &  Skywalk, shopping, and eating. Simply being at the observation decks of the Tower is an adventure in itself for those who would rather not jump down or climb up the tower. A high speed lift takes visitors to the decks so fast that the ride gives the feeling of being inside an airplane. First observation deck, called Main Observtion Deck, is on the 58th Floor of Macau Tower. This deck has glass walls and ceiling all around. One gets to see spectacular 360 degree views of Macau city and the sea around it. For those who need to feel the wind in their hair, the outdoor observation deck is on the 61st floor. This observation deck is also secured by glass walls but the ceiling is open. Adventure activities - Bungy Jumping, Tower Climb, and Skywalk are available here. Keep reading ...

Getting to Macau Tower

Macau Casino Buildings Viewed From Macau Tower

Macau Tower is very close from MGM Casino in Macau City. A taxi ride from MGM to Macau Tower should cost around 20 MOP. I walked to the Tower from MGM and it was no trouble at all. There is a sidewalk all the way but the road is not used much by pedestrians. Taking a cab will be the best way to get there except if one can find a free shuttle bus. The free shuttle that specifically serves Macau Tower is operated by City of Dreams Casino in Taipa Macau from 12.00 pm to 9.00 pm at 30 minute intervals. Public buses number 9A, 18, 23, 26, 32, and MT4 stop at the Macau Tower.

Shopping Mall at Macau Tower

Macau Tower Patisserie

There is a shopping Mall at the base of Macau Tower that has shopping, dining, and recreational activities. There is even a mini casino here. For kids, they have Toys R Us and for grown ups there is ISA Fashion Store. The gaming joint is called Mocha. Food options are aplenty. The "360 Cafe" on the 60th Floor is a revolving restaurant open for lunch, tea time and dinner. Closer to the earth, there are Lua Azul on 3rd Floor (Chinese), Patisserie on Lower Ground Floor, Cafe on 4th floor for light snacks, and Singing Bean Coffee shops on 58th & Ground Floors.
