Nasa Vegas Hotel Bangkok Review

Sunday, March 2, 2014

Nasa Vegas Hotel is one of the best choices to spend a night before an early morning flight out of Bangkok or to crash for the night after a late arrival in Bangkok. The hotel is located right next to Ramkhamhaeng Station on the Airport Link City Rail Line. Its a large hotel but has not-so-expensive rooms. Booking early for Nasa Vegas helps because one can find special non-refundable deals like 550 THB for a deluxe room. Yes, its non-refundable but a real deal. I got this offer from and took it because I was almost sure of my plan to catch an early morning flight to Macau. My taxi ride to Nasa Vegas Hotel from Park Plaza Sukhumvit Hotel (BTS Asoke) cost me about 60 THB, that too very late at night. Accessibility of this hotel is amazing. The airport link city rail line connects this hotel to the Phaya Thai station in Bangkok from where one can cross over to the Skytrain to go anywhere on the Sukhumvit or Silom BTS lines.  Trains towards Phaya Thai are available from 06.14am to 00.20am whereas Suvarnabhumi bound trains can be boarded from 06.10am to 00.10am. For going to the Sukhumvit tourist district, hiring a taxi is the better option. Read about the hotel facilities below...

My deluxe room was amazingly clean, adequately large, well appointed and had very effective air conditioning. There were two queen beds, a cupboard with a locker, a mini bar with reasonable pricing, a dresser table, and a clean and soft carpet on the floor. bathroom was clean with a separate shower cabin and all essential toiletries. I slept very comfortably.

Of course there was no free breakfast and no free wifi, but still I thought it to be a steal at 550 THB. The lobby downstairs is large & crowded but wears a busy and festive look at all times. There is a restaurant in the lobby and room service for food is available. Food is mostly non-vegetarian. Staff is helpful and courteous. Still, there are a few things to remember for the guests to have a trouble-free stay at Nasa Vegas Hotel. Keep reading...

There is no free internet, even in the lobby. A wifi pass for 24 hours costs 150 THB. Check-in time is after 3.00pm and check-out time is before 12.00pm. That means, the guests are required to return the key at the cashier counter before 12.00pm. Free early check-in from 6.00am to 3.00pm is given subjected to room availability. Late check-out from 3.00pm to 6.00pm costs 50% of the room rent and from 6.00pm to midnight 100% room rent. Being an airport hotel, late arrival is expected but it is better to email and take confirmation. There is no joiner fee and it looked like nobody cared about who went in or out from Nasa Vegas Hotel. I guess after factoring in the train fare to and from Phaya Thai, one can even consider this hotel as a regular stay hotel in Bangkok. This was my first stay there and certainly not the last.

I left my day job in October 2013 and became a full time blogger. I love travel and hence a travel blog was the obvious place to start from. The result is I currently live in Bengaluru, India. - Narinder Singh. (Email:
