Macau Grand Prix Museum is one of the two museums located in the basement of the building called Tourism Activities Centre (see picture of the centre below) which is located in front of a park called Golden Lotus Square. This location is at a walkable distance from Macau Fisherman's Wharf, opposite Sands Macau and Grand Lapa Hotels, and behind Waldo Casino & Hotel. Macau Public Bus numbers 1A, 3, 10, 10B, 10X, 23, 28A, 28B, 28BX, 28C, & 32 service this location, the nearest bus stop being 'Polytechnic Institute'. One can take a free shuttle bus to Sands Macau and then walk to the museum from there. The museum was opened in 1993 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Macau Grand Prix. Macau Grand Prix is an annual event (November every year) in which a number of car and motorbike races are held. According to the official information, Macau Government Tourist Office carried out extensive renovations and modernization of the Museum in celebration of the 50th Macau Grand Prix. The Museum pays tribute to individuals who have made extensive contributions to the success of the Grand Prix, namely Teddy Yip, Paul Du Toit, Laurel, Ayrton Senna and John Corsmit, among others.

There are dozens of exhibits here including the cars and bikes that were raced and won the Guia Circuit represent the history of Macau Grand Prix. Real older and the latest Formula-3 cars can be seen here along with scale models of mechanics' pits.

Some classic cars are on display here too including an Austin Princess and a Ford T. Brief particulars and the history associated with each of the cars is written alongside so that the visitors can truly appreciate the value of these exhibits.
Driving Simulators / Free Racing Games

There are a couple of driving simulators here where visitors can play free racing games but they need to obtain racing coupons from the front office. There is no charge but there is usually a wait time because of only two machines and several visitors.
