Taipa Ferry Terminal is one of the two ferry terminals in Macau that connect with Hong Kong City and Hong Kong International Airport. As the name suggests, Taipa Ferry Terminal is located on Taipa Island close to Macau International Airport (MFM). The distance between the airport and Taipa Ferry Terminal is walkable, less than a km. The other ferry terminal called 'Terminal Maritimo De Passageiros Do Porto Exterior' or simply Macau Ferry Terminal, is located on the Macau Peninsula side or sort of the mainland Macau where the Ruins of St. Paul's, etc. are located. Macau Ferry Terminal is also the busiest ferry terminal with the maximum number of ferry services operating from there. Taipa Ferry Terminal is not so busy as of now but does appear to have a bright future because of the continued development of Cotai Strip in Taipa where all the new casino hotels and resorts are coming up. The newest one to join the strip is 'Studio City' which opened in October 2015 next to The Venetian Macau on 'Est. Do Istmo'. The Venetian Group (Sands/Venetian) have already been promoting the Taipa Ferry Terminal for their CotaiJet ferry services between Macau and Hong Kong. Many casino resorts and hotels in Macau also have free shuttle bus services to and from Taipa Ferry Terminal. Keep reading...

Getting To Taipa Ferry Terminal
|Free Shuttle Buses At Taipa Ferry Terminal|
The best way to get to Taipa Ferry Terminal is to use a free Macau casino or hotel shuttle. All Venetian properties operate free shuttle buses to Taipa Ferry Terminal all day. If your hotel does not provide a free shuttle to Taipa Ferry Terminal, then it is advisable to take a taxi to the nearest Venetian Group Hotel (Sands Macau, Sands Cotai Central, or The Venetian) and then board their free shuttle. The Venetian operates free shuttle buses to Taipa Ferry Terminal from 6.35am to 2.35am. Public bus routes 26, 36, AP1, MT1, MT2, N2, and N5 connect to Taipa Ferry Terminal.
