Health Land Spa & Massage Pattaya

(Prices and info updated for 2017) Pattaya branch of Health Land Spa & Massage is located at 159/555 Moo 5, Pattaya Nua Road, Naklua, Banglamung, Chonburi (Phone: 66-3-837-1473-7) and is open everyday of the week from 10.00 am to midnight. From Hilton Hotel on the Beach Road, it should take about 60 THB by motorbike taxi to reach Health Land. Its a large building like other branches of the chain. Most cab/Tuk Tuk/motorbike drivers know the place. Inside, the reception area is well decorated and looks like a hotel lobby. Plenty of sofa chairs are provided so customers can comfortably wait for their massage call. I found massage menus printed in Russian, English and Thai at the counter. The menu and prices were same as found in other branches of Health Land (See menu, Rates and pictures below). A young lady (sort of an advisor) approached me for my “order”. My earlier experience of a foot massage at Health Land Asoke Sukhumwit had been a little painful, so this time I decided to try their Traditional Thai Massage. It was 450 Baht for 2 hours (in 2013). I asked if it would be a private room. She said yes and told me if I wanted a “shared” room, the cost would be only 400 Baht. Who would take a shared room just to save 50 Baht.  I was told to pay 450 Baht at the counter and wait. It was about 6 P.M. and only a few other customers were around, a lot less than the crowd I had seen in Asoke, Bangkok. My call came within 5 minutes. A masseuse (must have been in her forties) led me to my massage room which was in a hotel like long corridor with rooms on both sides. Oh, I forgot to mention the stop enroute for changing shoes (she gave me slippers to wear). See my Review of Health Land, Asoke Bangkok here.

Health Land Pattaya Private Massage Room

The private room had wooden flooring, three mattresses in it with a plastic flower each on the pillows. There was a TV in one corner, a mirror and hangers for clothes on a wall. The masseuse gave me a robe (top and lowers) to change into and left the room. She came back after 5 minutes and started the “treatment”. It was slow and gentle. I think I fell asleep mid-way for some time. Being in a closed private massage room for two hours can be boring. That perhaps explains the TV they keep in the room. The massage itself was good value for the 450 Baht I had paid.

Back at the “shoe” stop, I got not only my shoes back but a cup of lukewarm some sort of a herbal tea which tasted OK. By the time I finished the tea, the masseuse disappeared. I looked around for her so I could “tip” her. No luck.

2014 Experience

I later visited this branch of Health Land in 2014 along with a friend and had a 90 minute Aromatherapy for 850 THB. I got a separate room with an ensuite shower. The massage was good and they used some sort of a special gel that felt good. I had taken a shower before the massage but after the massage the therapist told me not to take a shower because according to her, the gel that she used was good for the skin and could be left on. Sp that 2014 experience was also good for me just like the earlier Thai massage but later in 2015 I read an online review of a customer who said that he found cockroaches in their Aromatherapy suit. I do not know what went wrong at Health Land Pattaya Nua within a year from 2014 to 2015. Maybe I need to go there again soon to see for myself.
