Central World Shopping Mall is Bangkok’s biggest lifestyle shopping destination. It is located in Ratchadamri area of Bangkok, at a walking distance from Siam Central BTS Skytrain Station and not very far from the Chidlom BTS Skytrain station. Platinum Fashion Mall, Pantip Plaza IT Mall, and a huge Big-C are all within a short walking distance from Central World making this area of Bangkok a must visit for shoppers. Super Rich Thailand, Bangkok’s Best Money Changer is also close by. Central World has two department stores (ZEN lifestyle Store and ISETAN – Japanese Department Store), six mega stores covering electronics, furniture, sports, books, toys, and food, more than 500 shops, over 100 restaurants, 15 cinema screens, a Kids Zone, and 40 bank ATMs (because everything in the mall costs money) in a total of 550,000 square meters retail space. A food super market called Central Food Hall is located on the 7th floor along with several affordable as well as lifestyle dining outlets. Central World has a Tourist Privilege Program whereby the membership card entitles tourists to a minimum 5% discount at participating shops and dining outlets. This card can be obtained from the Information Counter at 1st Floor Central Court Zone. Whether you go to Central World for real shopping or just window shopping, its fun. The ground level has some exhibition or other show going on all the time. Do look for that.
